You would NYC

Let's see, where are we? Oh yes, Tuesday. Final full day in NYC. Tear.

I needed to hold Gwen. She is just too precious. I have to say that ever since we had Max I am obsessed with babies. They scared the crap out of me before, and also kind of annoyed me. But now I love them all. I want to hold them, especially the awesome ones. Gwen is an awesome one.

We had a great time with Jenna and hopefully we were a good influence on her desire to love the NYC. I respect her moving downtown, land of my peeps.

We stopped in at a local TriBeCa kids boutique. Danger, mostly for me.

But even Caitlin couldn't resist this place. What to buy? Can we really spend that on a baby?

If it's these pants, then yes we CAN! So fly. We also got him a sweet Brooklyn tshirt. He'll never know how well dressed he was...but we will.

We got Davis out of school and I met my boy frank up for lunch at Grey Dog. I really wish I got a picture of Frank and me...next time. frank and I are tight and I miss hanging out with that dude and his crazy friends. We are an unlikely duo, but we'z tight.

I played with Davis and Max near the plaza (maybe too hard...including some pavement gymnastics moves). I used to work a few blocks from here.

Remember how Max likes fountains. No manner of coaxing could make this kid look at the camera.

And when he did look away, he wasn't happy about it.

Then we walked to the lower east side. Not being at work on a Tuesday instantly makes you feel like a celebrity.

Colorful us.

Got me my walking soda...but Max wanted it in a big way.

Checking out some new threads at some skate shops.

Max may have a future in skating. He really liked these boards. He also likes anything colorful or shiny, so maybe that's all it was.

Made some friends on the street and got some solid Italian blessings from this nice old man.

You would lower east side. I Love that someone had gone around all over NYC writing you would on stuff. They would. I would really.

Then, before you new it, Max was sleepy and hungry. He got his. He would. She would. They would.

We met up close friends and super-theatre friends Sally, Tim, amber, and Steve. After dinner (for which Tracy joined us), we let Tracy take max home and we went to the play Profession, which was good. Not the best, but certainly enjoyable, rift Caitlims? Stevelims?

A brisk walk through the new and improved Times Square! Fewer cars, more social areas! More commercialism than ever before! But friends were too busy talking to notice.

I asked Sally why Tim was walking like an old man in Chinatown. She was unsure.

We grabbed an entire cheesecake from Carnegie Deli and brought it here, Columbus Circle, for consumption. You may remember this as the place where Caitlin and I started our first official date and also where our reception dinner was held. Also, a million other memories.

Cheesecake was good, but bonding was better. I love these people, some of the first friends I made in NYC and still some of the best.
