A Togetherness Haven

We needed a place where our family could bond. One thing that has been extra hard with our family in recent years is all the moving around we have all done. In the last ten years family members have lived in Idaho, Utah, new york, florida, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. For that reason we have spent most holidays away from home and maybe we forgot he to just relax and chill. So we set out to do it.

Here at our recovery center in McCall, Idaho. Okay, it was a cabin we rented....but man did it hit the spot.

Family members bonded with baby...sometimes with a semi-zoned out facial expression.

Dad and son, reading and sharing wisdom.

Building fires and becoming one with nature, or at least the destruction of nature via flame.

Brothers returning to glory after a few years separation.

18 inches of fresh powder and sub 0 temperatures kept us inside where the bonding could really take place.

The first night we were visited by the present bunny, which is really just a disturbing mix of Christmas and Easter and played out by Shell in her tight bunny pajamas.

Caitlin got some workout clothes!

Um, bubble butt alert!

Hooray for Chreaster!!! Shell was mega excited cause she still had some presents to receive from family since she wasn't with us on Christmas.

Excited? Yes.

What could it be?

Tiffany's boxes?

The Tiffany's testicle pouch of jewelry.

A silver key necklace!

Demonstrating the glory...Caitlin got one too. This was really a blue box Christmas for us. Everyone got something except Jeff and Mike.

More gifts for these two? Geez.

This one will benefit me and my new years health goals.

Then it was time to play games. Shell had a new one for us. Here is how it works. Everyone starts with a stack of blank papers. On the first one everyone writes a phrase. Then you pass it and the next person reads the phrase, puts it at the back of the stack and draws what they read. Then they pass it again and the next person looks at the picture and writes down what they think the phrase was. You keep doing this until it gets back to the author and then you share what happened.

Was it hilarious? Me thinks yes...

Indeed.

Max came out from play time to see what all the commotion was about. Here is a basic example that I did.

Nothing too crazy. Mike did a more basic statement that got more convoluted.

Here is where the concept of hope got introduced and starting screwing things up...

Ending in puke. Stephen started one that was hard in the first place.

And finally, a straight forward example by Big D.

It was fun times. We had many adventures in McCall that I will share.
