Mittoo...a Question. Why Come Ooos One Dude?

This post is dedicated to Max 100%.

Why you so happy kid? Could it be that today was New Years Eve?

No silly! It's cause it was my birthday!!! Yes, it was Max's first birthday and New Years Eve at the same freaking time. A year ago at this very time Max was fresh in the world, crying and taking in air for the first time. Now, he is a one year old ball of cuteness.

I went to McCall Drug to not only honor DevBodge and his profession as a pharmacist, but also to get me some stuffs for Max.

Freaking success yo.

After the boys got back from skiing we took Max out for his birthday dinner at Lardo Grill & Saloon.

Squee couldn't decide what to order off such an amazing menu! What does one do?

Also deep in thought. Luckily we all chose well...very well.

Happy Birthday Max!!!

So much love in the fam for the kid.

Max got to enjoy cheesecake and ice cream on his birfday and man did he like them both.

So much so that he started grabbing the spoon to feed himself some of it. But don't eat too much Max because there was more fun to be had at home.

It's nice that it was New Years cause we had party hats and streamers and all sorts of fun ready to celebrate hims.

Party Harty Beef.

The fam. Borrowing the tradition of our friends, we decided to strip Max down to his diapers and let him enjoy the destruction of his very first birthday cake.

Here it is, ready for it's inevitable doom.

But when Max touched it, his hands sank down into it and it scared him pretty bad. So Aunt Beef jumped in to show him that cakes can be fun.

Then Unky Feef did the same and Max started to feel a little more interested in venturing back to the cake.

First we put his feet in...

...and then he was ready for full body immersion.

He'd get some on his hands and then flip it all over the place. Hooray!

One messy dude ready for one awesome bath!!!

Okay, here was Max's real cake. I am looking at this picture right now and am still in disbelief that he is really one.

I cut the cake...I guess that is the responsibility you take on when you become a dad. I am pretty sure I didn't do a very symmetrical job.

Max, all clean and returned from his bath, got ready to open some gifts. We were so thankful for all the gifts he got, both during his birthday and Christmas from all our family. He really raked in the toys, the gear, the games...

...and the cute clothes! Two new outfits from Beef and Bodge!

Totally amazing. I love the blue outfit, it kills me. Perfect for Florida.

Here is what I have to say about Max in the year he has spent in our lives. He is curious, spry and silly. He loves to play games and interact with people one on one. While he hasn't always been the best sleeper, he has always been a pleasure when he is awake. I have never been more excited to come home than I am now that he is here. I walk in the front door and he gets the craziest smile on his face and starts laughing. He has spent the first year of his life waving at everyone he sees, and essentially melts everyone's heart with it. We love you Mittoo!!!!

What a happy boy. The first year does go by quickly but they seem to get more fun with each month that passes. You'll love being in Florida with a toddler... it's nice to get outside every day.
