Things To Come

I am sitting on a plane back to Chicago as I type up this post. While there will be extensive reporting on our trip in the very near future, I felt compelled to report on how Max did on this trip. He did awesome. Max is the kind of baby that was meant for the city. He loves people, noise, distraction and strangers.

Not only that, but Max has the desirable trait of being calm and happy even under lots of discomfort. Case in point? Max popped a tooth out and had a cold during this trip. Note In the picture above his chewing on his finger. We kept him up until midnight several nights. He rode subways, slept on futons, beds, and random pack n' plays. The only time he complained was occasionally when his mouth would really hurt or he hadn't been able to spend time on his stomach for more than ten hours. Oh, and when he needed boob juice, but that goes without saying.

Max is the perfect baby to ween Caitlin and I into parenthood from the crazy life we sometimes live. We love you baby. Utz is gutz!

Good boy Max! He's so cute in that picture. I love that he's getting his first tooth!
