Post Thanksgiving Is All About Christmas

The next day we just relaxed and played with the kids while several of the ladies went shopping for stuff Black Friday style. Matt made a gigantic leaf pile and the kids played in it.I can't believe how cute my kid is, especially in a puffy coat.Oh Max. Fall compliments you well.Tyson forced Alpha to adventure into the pile as well where Max eagerly awaited her joining him. He likes to have a lady friend close by if possible. This picture = awesome. Don't be offended Max - its not you its the leaves.Like I said, all the kids got in the leaves.Buried alive and left for dead.Gruesome for a post Thanksgiving feast. Maybe we ate ourselves to death. Later that night we turned our hearts away from the pagan holiday of Thanksgiving and towards the holy holiday that is Christmas and all the sweet commercialism that comes with it - like Christmas Trees! We went to the Festival of Trees in Rochester. Some trees had cool figurines under them. But more importantly, this year it was all about what you put on top of you tree, not on the bottom or even in the middle. Each tree was an explosion of craziness. Its all the rage.Max was pretty much blown away by the lights and glitter.I liked this snowman tree. Pretty creative with the black balls for buttons.More tenderness between Kelli and Tyson. Geez they are sooooooo PDA.This was my favorite tree - the bubble bath tree. Look how cute it is!Look closer! The festival of trees really got my heart in the right place to start accepting that Christmas season was upon us. I instantly busted out my Sufjan Stephens Christmas album and was ready to role. Hopefully you are to because technically Christmas is over by the time you are reading this. My bad.

ah this post makes me wish we had skipped Julia's b-day party and stayed longer to party with all of you. I'm going to steal a few pictures from your post for my blog if you don't mind (but I will make sure you get all the credit) since we didn't really take any pictures of the weekend. I especially love the one you caught of me playing charades although I don't think I will put that one on our blog:)
